Leslie Buddington is a Sheffield-born chef best known for his work in modern, seasonal British cooking with creative influences and, more recently, for his focus on open-fire cooking.

At Six and a Half a wood-fire-driven restaurant he opened at Dyson Place on Sharrow Vale Road in Sheffield. Leslie Buddington’s personality and style are central to the experience. The restaurants concept revolves around food cooked over open wood fires, allowing him to showcase his passion for the elemental, smoky flavours he developed during travels in places like New Zealand and Australia. Diners can often watch him and his team preparing seasonal small plates and sharing dishes right in the kitchen, giving the space an intimate, welcoming atmosphere that reflects his desire for people to feel like they are walking into his kitchen at home.
